We, Colin and Raewyn Sayer, are the joint Managing Directors of ABACO. 
Early in his working life Colin spotted opportunities to perform specialised commercial cleaning on a contract basis with a focus on the cleaning of new buildings and houses as they were commissioned. He then undertook other commercial cleaning and maintenance activities before he and Raewyn established ABACO in 1995. 
Colin manages equipment and supplies and is the Company Safety Officer. He has an ongoing interest in the development of new cleaning methods and in the use of environmentally friendly cleaning compounds and their impact on floor coverings. He has developed an especially effective approach to the deep cleaning of vinyl floor surfaces that removes the build-up of cleaning product residues and extends the life of the floor covering while delivering a safe working surface. 
Prior to the formation of ABACO Raewyn provided specialist cleaning services to the aviation industry as well as providing customer services to the operators of private and executive aircraft. 
Raewyn manages the back office of the business. 
Colin and Raewyn both provide sick and other leave coverage and cover urgent and special cleaning requirements.
They have developed their management and operating practices to ensure they can deliver high quality cleaning in environments that present particular challenges. These challenges can include working to tight deadlines, cleaning around delicate equipment and furnishings and from time to time the need to work around people in ways that allow them to work around people so as to enable them to maximise their productivity. 
The staff of ABACO are its most valued resource. Most our staff have worked with the business for more than 14 years. We value diversity. Our management practices and our relationships with staff respect the abilities and aspirations of the individuals while we put the customer focus first. 
The feedback we have from staff illustrates their shared passion for providing healthy clean premises for people to enjoy. 
ABACO recruits its staff by word of mouth. Because we are close to our staff and their communities, we have access to a pool of people which we can call upon to meet the changing needs of our customers.

Weta Workshop has been contracting Abaco to undertake night cleaning in our office and public areas including the Weta Cave.
